Burma:
Officially the Union of Myanmar is bordered by the People's Republic of
China on the northeast,
Laos on the east,
Thailand on the southeast,
Bangladesh on the west, India on
the northwest, the Bay of Bengal
to the southwest with the Gulf of
Martaban and Andaman Sea
to the south.
Although extensive
travel into Myanmar is not recommended, one can have a great day shopping just
over the border in the Golden Triangle area. You may not be able to get out of
the country or back into Thailand with your new $15 USD Rolex or Prada bag, so
beware.
