Columbia State Park California
Columbia State Park is a California Gold
Country 1849 type park where the state made the whole town a
park. There are no cars, just horses, wagons and foot traffic.
Plenty of parking for cars and RVs and a very short walk to
town, You’ll find candy stores, restaurants, clothing, and
kitchen ware stores or get your photo taken with an old
fashioned costume. Stores are open and the 1849 theme is alive
and well. There are several museums, including an active
blacksmith shop. Columbia State Park is an easy drive from the
San Francisco Bay area and a great day visit. If you wish to
spend the night, there are hotels and B & B’s about 5 miles away
in Sonora, California.
