Santa Cruz California

You have to go to Santa Cruz.  Home to Surfers, aging hippies and lots of old guys with pony tails, and women, some even wearing bras. An eclectic college town on the north side of Monterey Bay, so the weather is good and the surfs up. Home to the Cold Water Classics and many other surf events, including the best showing of illegal fireworks I’ve ever seen on the 4^th of July ( 2 hours non stop on the beach from the boardwalk to some point up past the marina).     Don’t forget the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
