Angkor Thom : You’ll have to check out the
entrance to the South Gate with 54 heads on each side. Watch
for the monkeys, as they will be looking for you, hoping to get
a snack. The East gate was recently used as a location on Tomb
Raider. . Don’t miss the Banton, The Baphuon, and the Terrace
of the Elephants, inside the walled enclosure. The stairs
aren’t as bad at Angkor Thom as they are at Angkor Wat. I
really get the feeling that the inhabitants were either 8 feet
tall or had legs like tree stumps from all the stairs. The
stairs are taller than they are deep so you really get a good
work out!
