Siem Reap, Cambodia

Siem Reap,  Cambodia:  Amazing place, the markets, the traffic, the hotels and the construction is unbelievable.  Siem Reap is the town to stay in to visit Angkor Wat and the other temples. They are building hotels (huge Las Vegas type hotels) everywhere along the main route from town toward the temple sites. We stayed at the Bopha Angkor hotel on the east bank of the River and loved it.  Very beautiful gardens, the staff was great and the prices were reasonable.  Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples are within an easy tuk tuk ride.   DO Not take off for a hike off any trails even if nature is screaming at you. There are many land mines left over from the Khmer days
