Venice, Italy :  Venice is made up of a hundred islands and is laced together with 400 bridges and 2000 alleys.  The part of Venice on the canals is known as Old Town and is worth checking out.  What a place, the square (plaza), the shopping, little cafes, and the canals and the water taxi’s all go together to make this a fun stop on the tour of northern Italia.  Hint:  You can get a view from the water by taking the water taxi instead of the Gondola if you are trying to save money.
