Chiang Mai:
To the North
and west of Bangkok, in what they refer to as hills, Chiang Mai
is the second largest city in Thailand. Famous for the “walking
street” a night market with unique handmade merchandise. The
night market is only on Sunday night and you will need to start
early if you plan to see everything. Tuk Tuks (Taxi
motorbikes) are available everywhere and are best hired by the
day. There are hotels and guest houses in every range, and all
are safe, so walk all the back alleys and search out the local
flavor.
