Hoi An, Vietnam
Hoi An: Built on the banks
of the Thu Bon river Ho An used to be a transit maritime port in
the 10th century. Here you will find high quality bamboo
curtains and rattan. Of special interest is the
natural silk which is still for the most part home spun.
Visitors may have much interest in the structure of
old houses made of hard wood, decorated with lacquered boards and panels
engraved with Chinese characters and Japanese characters, like the old
Chinese Pagodas and the famous Temple Bridge built in 1593 by the Japanese.
